The beautiful Dolomiti Lucane are characterized by high gorges. Creative names such as bald eagle, anvil, great mother and owl have been given to these gorges thanks to their unique shapes and forms.
Different types of birds have their nests in the most remote ravines of these dolomites, such as the kite, the kestrel and the peregrine.
Behind the Dolomiti Lucane rise the beautiful towns of Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa.

Beyond the Dolomiti Lucane, a steel wire extends between the highest points of the two towns, Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa where you can experience the VOLO DELL'ANGELO (or angel flight).
